Never read anything by Leigh Bardugo. ( I have been put off by the reviews from her last book of the Grisha Trilogy)

Never been a fan of heist books.

Ever. But this is AMAZING! This is making it ways to my top 16 books of 2016. The hype around this book pre and post-publishing was so huge, that it may have discourage me to read it earlier. But oh boy, this book didn’t disappoint.

THIEVES. EPICNESS. DANGEROUS JOB (Job not a mission, because we are not military!) all cram inside a one beautiful book.

Can I make every single part of this book a yaaas point? No? Okay.

• The plot. Dark, darker than my summer tan and definitely darker than the chocolate I have been wanting to eat. It is action-packed like literally, a page were one is scaling buildings with no harness (I could have died), one is maybe dying, or someone maybe off to pulling wolves jaws apart. It is also filled with frustrating OTPs moments wherein, you would be rolling in your bed or the grass because your characters are not getting together (Inej and Kaz, just kiss already!)
• The characters.  Aside from the plot and the beautiful cover and of course if you got the hardcover edition you would also be enjoying the beauty that is the black edges (But I was being cheap and got myself the paperback, *pwesh), another selling point of this book is it’s complex characters. Each has it’s own *also deep* back story and past lives that lead them to be such getting-in-your-dreams-and-under-skin kind characters they are now. They are the once your parents told you not to make friends with but they look so cool that you decided that you want to runaway from home and be Wylan for month even if you know that you won’t survive the Barrel without books.

• Nina and Matthias. You want to kill them yourself because you know that they want to get together but also want to kill each other. 
•   Jesper always reminded me with Leo (Valdez, from HoO series), maybe because of his humor. Yes that’s it.

Although Ferolind sailed to Fjerda, my ships have not yet sailed.
